I am the Manager of Strategy & Growth at SAHSSI, a women’s domestic violence and homelessness service in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven, and serve as a Board Member for Southern Cross Community Housing.
I have a PhD in social science and have worked in environmental sustainability research, housing policy and environmental education. My doctoral research focused on the experiences of residents being displaced due to public housing estate redevelopment. I worked for almost a decade as a researcher at UTS, where I conducted research a range of issues relating to sustainability and urban transitions. Recently, I have worked as a Research Fellow at University of Wollongong and Griffith University.
I have served as a member of the Radical Housing Journal’s Extended Collective, and a non-fiction reader for Overland. My writing has been published in Meanjin, Overland, The Conversation, Commotion, and The Lifted Brow, among other publications.
